I am writing this from the other side of something I know firsthand. After my baby came, my body went through a shift I was completely unprepared for. My whole life changed overnight. My identity shifted. And the hardest part? No one told me how hard the inside of this would feel.
I told myself it was just hormones. I told myself I was fine. I even told myself this was not depression — because how could it be? I loved my baby. I was supposed to be happy.
But that is exactly what this does. It hides inside your own mind and convinces you that nothing is wrong. That denial — that feeling of "this cannot be what I think it is" — that is not weakness. That is your body and mind going through something real, something recognized, and something no one prepared you for.
I felt it too. And I want you to know — you are a great mother who is facing challenges. And you deserve support just as much as your baby does.
